The track originally operated in the mid 1960s
as a
1/5 mile dirt oval.
Historically, it's one of
the oldest tracks
in New England.
From 1971,
it has operated as
1/4 mile oval.
It was The Pines Speedway
& the
Nor-Way Pines Speedway.
After an ownership transition around
2002-2003,
it re-opened as
Legion Speedway.
Then in 2009, it became The Rattlesnake Motordrome.
